Help Will not update apps

Was having storage issues a while back and ragy1701 advised to keep at least 200+ megabytes free. This worked and all was well until a few days ago when suddenly I started getting the message "error. not enough storage to update" for every app that tries to update.
I'm confused. Have no idea why this is suddenly an issue. Have uninstalled and disabled to no avail.
Any one out there have any ideas? My guess is that something that updated along the way is preventing other apps from updating but I'm clueless which one it might be.
I'm wary of rooting phone because I fear screwing it up completely.
Any clues?

Yes you have Facebook app on the device multiple apps began to update at once didn't have enough . the person that told you to leave 200 mb was correct . they should have told you to do manually update . shut off the auto up date for all apps in the play store . reason Facebook needs 56.00 mb by its self this leaves you around 140.00 mb to play with not enough

I removed FB messenger -- which I did not want in the first place -- and it seems to have cleared up the problem.
I had already turned off auto update a while back because apps that I'd disabled were turning themselves back on.
That FB is forcing us to download the messenger app really pisses me off. You can't message someone who hasn't downloaded it also. I don't want every communication I post to be seen by the whole world. FB is out of control.

That's why I Dont mess with it . Facebook has a special trail that is added to your system folder . I counted 5 extra folders that has nothing but pictures in it . these photos show up in your system as doubles . seems that they not working on a fix . so I have a better tool just stop using .:what::D:rolleyes: now we are all happy . o I am

I Dont know if you have a SD card inside the phone . if you do you can move apps over to SD to save a few extra mb . remember every little bit counts and is very helpful in the end . you don't need a super big SD card 4or8 gb class 10 SD card .

I put a 32 gig SD card in phone when I got it and have always moved any apps that were movable as well as set the phone up to store everything on the card.
It's just that Metropcs comes with so much bloatware...

Yes they do wish and hope someone pass a law that your not allowed no more than 3 bloated apps on any device .just look at the video

How to: Share your Internet with any Device (Wind

I appreciate your input.
I wonder if switching to T-Mobile would help. They own Metropcs. It would be nice if it would just entail getting a new sim, but I doubt it's that easy. You're probably forced to buy a new phone as well. My daughter had T-Mobile, my husband and I are on metropcs. If it's just a matter of switching sims we could get a family plan and probably save some money.
At any rate, your help is greatly appreciated.
