Root Will Optimous Elite Ever get JellyBean

When i was first deciding on my First Smartphone I wanted the best most up to date device with a new Andriod OS and a speedy processor. Unfortunately
we all cannot afford a contract or a prepaid GS3:)

So i decided on Virgin Mobile( If only i had decovered Tmobiles great prepaid plans before i ordered the phone.) I was tired between the Optimus elite and the HTC one V. I choose the Elite because of the removable battery.( I do not like Non removables its a cripple and nothing more!) Well i just decided to look at there root form and i see they have Jellybean! Will we Elite people ever get a JB is it possible? It has the exact same specs as HTC one V so that should not be a problem.

Prehaps its the lack of developers? the HTC One V developing crew is amazing I mean they have CM10!
 
Well you probably made the wrong choice, but there are some people working on cm10 right now for the Elite.
 
We got people working on it right now. While they're working on it, you should use this time to work on your grammar.
 
Oh Jesus, not every ones a high school English nerd dude. Don't pick on ppl when he actually does a helluva lot better then most ppl spell.
 
Yes, it probably will get jb. However, development process is going slow, but it's no one's fault. It's hard to figure out. I would give it maybe 3 months honestly. Idk if it will even be done then.

I dropped out of high school, it's a bunch of worthless repetitive crap to "robotize" the population. So yea don't call someone out for bad grammar or misspelling (especially when sometimes it's intentional, or just neglect to care to read over and correct everything) but also it doesn't take high school for crap to know anything and honestly that goes for any "legitimate" schooling.

Thanks for the link to elephant Rom; It looks very nice! Main reason I asked is because I wasnt even sure if there was a Rom for Jellybean on elite. The only problem I see in it is that the battery indicator does not show the percentage. How is boot time with it because with the ROM i currently have it feels quite slow and takes a while. It arguable slower than stock....

You can use UOT Kitchen to customize the battery icon and other stuff however you want. It's super easy to use.

Running 4.2.2 on One V and they do not have the same processor. Snapdragon is way different then a regular 800Ghz processor.
 
From my experience with this phone so far.

Can it handle jb?
I believe it can, it's actually running better for me than my one v did. I have high hopes for this device, man I wish I had my laptop.

Will it get jb?
That really depends on the devs, all I can say is trust and believe, help out where possible and learn how to make a logcat when builds do surface.

If we work together the sky is the limit, just remember rule number 1. Don't ask for an eta, good things come to this who wait and who are willing to contribute.

you realize the hardware is much better than the optimus one variants so that is why it runs better and of course it could handle it. the only reason opt ones got jb is because they have so many users.

It came out at a higher price than it should, was marketed poorly, and was difficult to root.

It wasn't revolutionary, and many already had an Optimus V or were encouraged to do so instead of the Elite for the above stated reasons.

By the time prices had fallen, the OV discontinued, and it was rooted and rom'd, we had other, shinier phones.

I was referring to the HTC one v not the optimus v
