The headphone output is horrible. On an iphone with these phones i cant hear anyone (cant stand the kids i work with) when i bought the optimus l9 i noticed this is a s
serious problem for me. I cant stand it and will do anything to fix it. No apps can change it tried all of them seem lg limited the output for safety but thats not something im concerned with. Any help would be mucho appreciated

The sound level is limited by the hardware. Unless you can find an app that can increase it, and needs root, rooting has nothing to do with the situation. (It does void the warranty, though.)

(That's ALL rooting does - allow apps that need administrative access to get it. It restores the su command, which Android leaves out.)

i think that there is a setting that reduces the headset volume for safety. i havent come across its location yet
