Root Will switching to cyanogen rom bring me the option of toggling btw 3g n 4g

Hey ppl... I own a Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket AT&T-mobile... I still have stock rom... N in my data options I don't have a manual option to switch between gprs/edge/4G.. Will shifting to cyanogen rom will get me that options coz I'm really annoyed by the battery drain due to 4G network.. Thanks in advance..
