just in time for my next upgradeI don't think so as the CDMA drivers are proprietary. Once they get past doing dual antenna devices and are LTE only (which I imagine is a few years out) I can imagine them being supported.
One fantastic day ... all US carriers will be off CDMA and we all can jump from carrier to carrier freely! Not to mention roam internationally!
Um, no. There is still the issue of freqency. LTE for Sprint is 1900, Verizon and AT&T is 700 but when you say 700 that is not an exact number. I don't have much information but it isn't that simple. Other wise you could easily jump from TMO to ATT and you have to flash a rom and you frequently miss out on the high speed.

No.
Verizon has a very tight grip on the devices that it will allow.
People say that with LTE and sim cards that this will change but I know it will not.
If XYZ makes a device and it's not sanctioned by Verizon it will not work.
Does not matter if it's LTE only...
They know what kind of device it is by IMEI... if it's not on the list it will not register the device.
I doubt this policy will change.
Verizon will never approve a non-branded device on it's network.
They make far too much money selling that right to manufacturers.
Granted, if they really don't want that happening, they will find a way. I will agree with that much, since Verizon is pretty good at pulling off this jerk corporation stuff.
