Will there be a 0004 hardware version?

With all these shortages, can one assume that they might be tweaking some things and are gonna drop a new hardware version? Just curious.

I think they have been fixing the usb charging port.

Seems more and more are failing.

Maybe........ I have inside information that tells me "mabye..." So that means maybe YES, and maybe NO...

I hope that with the new hardware version, HTC finally went with one screen manufacturer, and added proper graphics drivers that allow for the screen to run at 60fps, allowing for smoother transitions and basic general function of this thing. It's still annoying and chugs quite a bit with everything. I tried the stock 2.2 launcher, and the app tray chugged so much it was barely tolerable. I just couldn't deal with it, even though it's overall way better than sense. For now, because GDE is still relatively smooth and easy on the eyes, I'm using it.

FYI, A new hardware version will only happen in the event of a major change in components and or a major engineering change. I think you will see a new version of the handset before they would do another hardware version to this handset.

If they did this, early adopters would be furious, and rightly so

That's the major reason why I rooted my phone. 30fps is chunky and makes the phone less aesthetically appealing. Now it's smooth as silk, almost iPhone smooth, but not quite.

You seem to be an avid user so why not root and get the netarchy kernel. It REALLY improves the experience. I run root only for wireless tether, titanium back-up, and to use netarchy's killer kernel. It's very smooth, sips power nicely, and feels like stock....cause it is.
