Will you put it in a case?

For once, I'm going to go caseless on this phone (or at least try it). For one thing, a case adds size and I really don't want anything bigger in my pocket than my current phone. I currently have a Galaxy S2 in an Otterbox Commuter case, and from what I can tell the Nexus 5 will be just about the same size (except much thinner of course).

Also, I'm pretty easy on phones and they don't have to last more than a couple of years. By the same token, I don't use screen savers any more either.

The only reason I still keep my S2 in a case is that the phone is really slippery. I had trouble getting it out of a tight pocket and a couple times I even dropped it while using it when it slipped out of my hand.

I never use cases or screen protectors. Didn't for my Nexus 4 either. Haven't for any smartphone or even back to my PDAs like the TX.

I have a very Type-A personality I always put my phone in a case and a screen protector. When I pass my phone on it looks new.

I will need to use it for a bit to see how it feels. I didn't think Nexus 4 was usable without a case. That thing seemed like it was made slippery on purpose.

I am on Amazon right now looking at cases. I have an Otterbox Commuter on my Droid RAZR Maxx and really love it. Looks like Otterbox doesn't have one for the N5 yet, so I'm trying to decide between the Spigen Neo Hybrid and Slim Armor.

I've dropped my RAZR Maxx twice on the cement in the parking garage, and both times it didn't have a scratch on the case and no damage on the phone with the Otterbox. I like the idea of the two-piece soft/hard combo cases, and will almost definitely get another one like that. I have Prime, so I need to pick something and get it ordered tonight so it gets here Monday.

Definitely going to get a case. Its going to be a hard because there's a lot of good choices out.

I wont for the first little while but will afterwards when cases get cheap. I'm not particularily clumsy, and when I am, I sometimes am the luckiest person on Earth. I have an iPhone 4 and have dropped it a few times; no screen protector and just a 3$ rubber case that falls off easily and is ripped. Besides for a bunch of fingerprints, its indistinguishable from a brand new iPhone 4.

I used a case for a long time on my Galaxy SIII, but I believe that phones are meant to be held/used the way that developers intended, which is without a case. The only question for me is whether I am putting a screen protector on it. Gorilla Glass 2 has served me pretty well on my SIII, and I'm hoping that Gorilla Glass 3 will do the same for my Nexus 5.

I never use a case but a skin on the screen is a must. I'll be ordering one mid month. Gotta pay bills first.

By everything I've seen it appears that the back is the same high quality grippy material as my Nexus 7.2. It's very comfortable and sleek so I'm not using a case or screen protector. Confirmed to ship on Nov 8th, I'm so glad I got in early. Thrilled that it's black and 32GB.

I did the same. I like for my phone to be as naked as possible. But a little insurance is nice too.

Yep same here. I had the Poetic Slimline case for my Nexus 4 and really liked it. This seems like a similar case.
