Will ZTE ZMAX Pro Ever Get Root?

Anyone else feel like this phone is unrootable? I've waited a long time for root to come to this phone but I am ready to throw in the towel and just get a phone that can be rooted. Do you think this phone will ever get root?

I've been following that forum for months and it seems like nothing is getting done. Half the time people go off topic, repeat the same methods that don't work, or argue.

It will not. Not a popular phone for dev work. Buy Nexus, LG, HTC or Samsung for root friendly devices. I love my LG Stylo 2 Plus rooted. I have gyroscope,nfc,stylus pen and running on a stock Deodex rom. I sold my zte zmax pro back in August of 2016. I knew root will never come to this phone.
