hi eyebeam,
have to say your wallpapers are awesome. any chance you could do one for me?
i'm after a bit of space scenery like a nebula, or a view of planets with the sun in the distance. the tiny details on some of these pics have utterly defeated my efforts to make it work on my wildfire buzz!
whatever you get into doing would be great.
cheers,
tawraste

edit:should mention i'm running the cyanogen 7 firmware which is only 5 screens wide not 7.

Thanks for doing those, TT2.

TO ALL:

The program (SumoPaint) I like to use to do the vast majority of my wallpapers has been down for 5 days now. I'm hoping that it's just a major problem and that at some point it'll come back online. This is a real problem for me because almost everything I've done to date is saved as .sumo files. :( Until it comes back up (if it does) I'm pretty much out of business. Yes, I could use an alternative such as GIMP and I do for a few things, but I just don't know it that well, and for the more involved wallpapers I do it would take me much, much longer to do the things I'm used to doing easily.

You can still make requests here, and hopefully someone will pick up the slack, or I'll try to get to them if/when Sumo comes back online.

Thanks for your understanding -

Looked around for a bit of info for you on this Beam and this is what I came up with.

""Hiya! Sumo Paint (3.6.4) is updated today. There are bug fixes and improvements for brushes and animated brushes, undo/redo engine, full screen mode (text input works now for Sumo Paint Air), Sumo Paint Partner (application works with browser cache, even if parameters are changed) and many small other improvements. Thank you so much for your feedback, that helps us to improve the application and ommunity!"
So it's just a really big update, so don't worry, the site isn't being shut down. :)"

Well that would be good news. Hopefully true. I was thinking about (finally) shutting it down here, but I guess I'll just wait it out a bit and see how it goes. If it does come back up, you can bet this time I wont be too damn cheap to buy the download version of it! :o

Thanks McL! (BTW- Where's that info from?)

How much is the pro version? Ill chip in so you can get it. I got it from their facebook. It was a user post and he said that he pulled it from a Google Cache.

eyebeam ... you do a lot of good work here, hope you dont shut it down ... I wish I had more time to help out.

A few people have sent me a message asking of they could have the psd file for the hexagon sports wallpaper ... download here

You will also need the font (Neuropol) ... you can download here

I tried to put an explanation on each layer, if you have questions just ask. Its fairly easy to add and remove hexagons ... here is my lockscreen as an example ...

Ok ... the reason you can only get the top is because the wallpaper scrolls when you go from once screen to the next, so you need a wide wallpaper (960x800). Your screen is 800px tall, so you want images that are at least 800px tall or the wallpaper wont be very sharp. I stretched the images you provided to 800px tall, but its not the sharpest. These should work for both phones though ...

OK Bradden, here's the scoop - The online program I use to make the vast majority of these seems to be down. I'm really hoping that's it's just a temporary problem, but it's been 2 days now, so I just don't know. When/if it comes back up I'll get to your request ASAP.

Edit: To hold you over until (hopefully) I can get back onto my preferred program, here's just the basic one you wanted, sized correctly for your phone.

To save it in full 960x800 resolution, use the download button on the linked page or the share button to email it to an address accessible on your phone, then save the attachment. If your phone wont save it full size, or it looks fuzzy, download and save it with a computer, then USB or email the full sized version to your phone.

thanks so much! I've been wondering how to do this.

TO ALL:

Hi gang - Alright, I've found someone who's figured out somehow to put up a copy of Sumo. I have no idea how long this will last, and I still can't get the downloadable version, but for now, I'm back in business! :)

What have ya got for me?

Catching up on a few PMs - First up, One for Bradden:

Could do find some way to do the wallpaper of the "Teuton Chief on Village" picture sold on the Mug - fifth down on left.

Mugs - Traviangamesshop.com

when you click on the image of the mug it brings up a picture which if you click again on next cycles through to the artwork. I cannot figure out how to save it though!

I do own one of the mugs .. I'd just like my phone to match.

Thank you
OK, I could save one of the images you linked, but they're really too small to look good blown up to wallpaper size. So here's one with the same general look. Hope that works for you - let me know.

Same deal to save as before.

And... 2 more for Phienyx

Hey Eyebeam,

Could I trouble you to do 2 more wallpapers just like the previous wallpaper, only do one with the blue grid on a black background (same gradient effect using black/grey) and one with a light grey grid on the black/grey gradient background?

Thank you.

OK, no prob - Here ya go:

Same deal to save -

isnt as good as eyebeams or thetomlin2's work, but im learning and willing to help out if i can. let me know what ya think and be honest, im just learning how to use photoshop so any criticism is welcome

First off, thanks for helping out. It's always appreciated.

OK, a few things about your wallpaper. Overall, it's really good. A couple of minor nitpicks (since you asked...) - The ideal wallpaper size for the Evo is 960x800. The 799x666 you posted it in will work, but wont look as good. I'd suggest you use 1 of TT2's wallpapers that are that size as your template. Here's one a few posts up - http://androidforums.com/android-themes/92348-willing-make-wallpapers-62.html#post2984933 - I'd also add a little shading to the logo, as in the original, and my imitation. I do that by masking the logo, and applying a transparent to black radial gradient to it, slightly offset. It looks like TT2 does some sort of a lens flair effect (and maybe more), but I'm not sure. Other than that, it's terrific, especially for a PS novice! :)

Looks like he used my template ... If you did, right click the logo layer provided in the template, select copy layer style ... Then right click your logo layer and select apply layer style ... You can also move the flare layer around. Great work though
