Amazing. It's pretty awesome how fast yet amazing how you do this. Humongous thanks! Keep up the awesome work.

I hate to complain or be such a hassle. but do you think you could make a Derrick Rose wallpaper but in his green jersey? If you can't i fully understand as it is hard to find Derrick Rose in his Green Bulls Jersey.

What I havent gotten yet though is a way to help Eyebeam buy SumoPaint Pro. He keeps intentionally ignoring my posts on any type of subject that includes me giving him anything monetarily related. lol.

You're welcome, and thanks for the kind words.

I'll see if I can do something with him in the green uni. I don't think the flame edge will look good with that, so I'll see if I can come up with something else. Most likely late tonight or tomorrow.
 
Sadly the idea I had didn't work, a couple issues made it not turn out how I wanted.

I had planned to have a transparent dock and use the submit button as a app drawer icon, the password text field was going to most likely have a small text widget with the weather or time, and the large "Dollars" logo was going to act as an icon which brought up a folder. I'm a bit disappointed it didn't work out, ah well.

I panicked when it went down for the update cause I had started using it so often. I have access to photoshop at work but I'd rather pay the $30 for the download of Sumo than $700 for photoshop!

Well, if you need elements of that one moved around, that should be pretty easily done. If you want to try, I think the best way is for you to give me a screenshot, with the non transparent icons and any text field you want in place. That way I can (hopefully) line it all up. You game?

YOU panicked?!? I have several thousand Sumo files saved, almost everything I've done here in a year and a half +, and suddenly had no way of opening them. :eek:

Sure, I'll set it up again once I wake up (assuming I go to sleep >.>), summer made my sleep schedule go to hell in a handbasket.
If I happen to not post it today I'll have it up by Saturday at the latest.

OK MPG, I've sent you a PM with this one. I'm just not that comfortable posting pics of people's kids here in public (also, I had to put it on the web to get it to you, but it's in a private folder only I can access.) I'd recommend that you edit your previous post to delete the attachment.
 
@eyebeam and all other talented artists who check this thread:
I am going through a variety of TUTs for photoshop (I have the weak elements version) and Corel PSP x3 (which I have used for years for simple web design and photo editing) to learn how to make wallpapers. I was going through a gradient TUT and really liked the results - until I loaded the .png onto my phone and saw horrible bands everywhere. I found very few links on how to correct this - most addressed print media - so I thought I'd ask peeps who have experience with such things on the Android. When I make gradient-filled wallpapers in either program, there's horrible banding of the colors, no matter how many stops I add or how much guassian blur I apply. The application of noise seemed to help....but I saw the noise instead of the bands. :eek:
If anyone has any tips/tricks on how to effectively use gradients for digital wallpapers, I'd really appreciate it - feel free to PM or post here. TIA!:)
EDIT: May have found something of a cure - Wallpaper Set & Save app does seem to fix majority of banding. Any tips on editing the image to make it highly sharable, though, would still be most appreciated. :)

Well, I don't use either of those programs, so I don't have any advice on them in particular.

That said, you've already tried 2 of the 3 things I usually recommend when this is an issue (saving as a .png and adding a little noise). I've seen that some people have solved this problem by setting their wallpaper with an app called "Wallpaper Wizardrii" - Wallpaper Wizardrii | AppBrain Android Market - Maybe that'll work for you too.

Anyone else got better advice?
