1.) Take the usb cable that charges the phone and connect it to your computer.
2.) If you have a micro sd card that you inserted do this:
Drag the notification area down with the phone connected to the pc with the usb cable. Choose copy data to pc in your notifications. Choose turn on usb storage on the next screen. Go to step 3.
If you are using the phones built in memory do this:
At the home screen tap the menu button. Bottom left button on the phone. Choose settings. Choose Wireless and networks. Then choose usb utilities. Tap connect storage to pc. Plug in the usb cable into the phone. Choose Turn on usb storage on the next screen. Go to step 3.
3.) Now once the phone is connected, a autoplay box will appear on the computer shortly asking what you want to do. Choose the option to open folder to view files.
*Just like a flash drive or external hard drive, you can add folders/delete folders etc. Do not delete any folders in there unless you created them yourself. You won't damage anything if you do, but you might lose some progress you have made in apps that were moved to the sd card.*
Create a new folder and just call it pictures. Click start-pictures. Drag and drop your pictures into that folder.
Transferring content from the phone is also the same process. However, the pictures that your phone took is in the folder called dcim. Then go to the camera folder. Drag and drop into your pictures folder on your pc. Everything else is common sense for folder names. Never did understand why its folder is labeled dcim on almost all android phones.
It is the same Idea for music, documents, etc. Label the folder, and drag and drop your items into it.
4.) By the clock on the computer choose the icon that says safely remove hardware. Left click it. Then click usb storage or something similar. When the icon says its now able to be safely removed, choose dissconect usb storage on the phone. Unplug the phone. Now when you go to gallery, the pictures you added will be there. If you added music the phone will find it. If it does not, first try turning the phone off and then back on. Let it load a little bit. Then try again. If the items are still not showing up make sure that you copied the content that you wanted onto the card correctly.
