Root windows 7 issues

My phone is not recognised by my system so I cant do anything to it using the pc, rooting or otherwise. I would really like to root or at least transfer some files. Has anyone found the drivers to get this to work? Do you think if I did a live boot of DamnSmallLinux I could download the drivers running that OS and root from there?
 
sorry dude, i just found drivers really late last night. i thought i had went on an extensive search and then gave up... but i found them. now debating with the voice in my head on the topic of rooting

edit: successful root. this thread is now officially pointless.
 
not if someone stumbles across this thread and was thinking... hmmmm... i need drivers, but don't know where to get them...
