Help Windows 7 PC doesn't "see" Tab

I've got a Tab 10.1. When I connect it via USB to my laptop, running Vista, it's recognized in Windows Explorer and I can transfer files to and from the tablet.

But when I connect it to my desktop, running Windows 7 64bit, I can't see the tablet. The PC makes its standard sounds when I plug it in or unplug it, so it recognizes that something's happened, but I never see the tablet show up in Windows.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I have Windows 7 x64 and it sort-of recognizes my P7500 tablet. It didn't see it the first time I plugged it in though. I had to plug it in 2-3 times before it finallly recognized it as a media device...perhaps it was downloading a driver from Micro$oft the first time. Anywho, it recognizes it each time now as a media device and I can copy/paste files back and forth which works fine for me.

Note that Windows doesn't see it as a USB removable device like a memory card or USB stick though, so you won't get a pop up window or anything. You need to open Windows Explorer and click on Computer to view connected devices.

I haven't found a specific USB driver for my 3G Tab yet that allows it to be seen as a removable device with a drive letter, but this works well enough for me.

That's how is works on my Vista laptop, but the Win7 PC didn't seem to recognize it at all. I found Windows drivers for it on Samsung's support site, and after installing those it now works on my desktop, too.

Thanks.

Same here, recognized a first few times, then didn't plug it in for a few months and just stopped recognizing all together, had to google the drivers and install before everything started working properly again.
