Help Windows Live Mail

Hello all.

I have configured my Windows Live Email (now considered all Hotmail?) account through the default email program that I use for my gmail. I select Microsoft Hotmail as the mail provider. I input all of my information. No problem. It does not complain about anything.

However, none of my email will download into the inbox. I can send email using my phone from this Hotmail without any issue. I get email everyday on this email, but nothing has made it to my phone.

I had the same problem with the hotmail app on my one x. HTC recommended I download the hotmail app firm the play store, which I did and I found it to be better than the in built app with all the functionality of the in built app plus you can set quiet time too. Give it a go

No go. I'm getting the same results. It is only showing me 1 email within my inbox "Hotmail Member Services"...

Ok I have it working now.

The correct setting for mail provider is "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync".

I guess having my now Hotmail (that was Live Mail) work as a "Microsoft Hotmail" account just isn't how things should work...

Yep, ditch the HTC mail client & just use the app.
