Help Windows No Longer Recognises Device ???

I upgraded to gingerbread last week, now when I connect my galaxy s to my PC it says it does not recognise it.

Nothing has changed, I use the same port, the cable is always attached to my PC. Do you guys have any ideas to help a girl out please?

What mode is your phone in? When you plug the phone to the computer using the USB cable do you see a notification in the drop down on the phone?

Turn on debugging, restart phone and then try. My phone on gingerbread has lost 'Ask on connection' and is occasionally unrecognised by the PC (but still charges) rather like the behaviour with a Mac.
