Help Windows wants to Scandisk

Whenever I connect my phone to any of my machines (all Windows 7) and turn on USB storage, Windows wants to run scandisk on my phone. Why does it do that every time? Should I let it? Alternatively, is there a way to get rid of that annoying message?

At a guess, at some point you unplugged the phone whilst the card was mounted (or some other USB storage device mounted as A).
Once this is done, Windows can remember that device as potentially damaged, and will look to check it using Scandisk.
Easiest fix is let scandisk run, and ensure that you eject any mounted devices using the system tray icon in future.

had the same problem using win7 ... only solution was to copy everything on HDD and format the drive ,windows couldn't scan the card.
