I sold my esteem and.gonna swtch over to tmobile. Im thinking of going with the lumina. its windows. Does windows have its root scene.

Yes, my goods sir they in fact DO have a very healthy root scene.maybe not as robust as Androids but that would be because of the many many more users. You not knowing if they have a root scene would backup my information here as people do not read up on windows phones nearly as much meaning that people don't even think of them. Lumia 900 is MONSTER though. Tears apart even some of the best Android devices in terms of speed and other software aspects.

First i would start at the appropriate forum. You might get a lot more responses. ;)

For what its worth also, windows is awful. Worse than blackberry. The phone might be a good phone but its still windows. But to each his own. :D

HTC One X will not have an unlockable bootloader from HTC itself which stinks BUT i think that i equips still have top start with Androids especially since i would be getting HTC Sense

Thread moved to T-Mobile section. I was debating about putting this in the "Other Phones" section, but there is a fair amount of discussion between Android and Windows here.

I loved my WinMo 6.1 phone...no relying on "the community" for a ROM, with lord knows what type of code, just to make simple changes. With "older" WinMo, one just had to open the registry editor and change away.

I'm going off personal experience and friends experiences. Windows felt cheap. Didn't feel like a smart phone. Plus the OS on every one I've seen always crapped out after about 6 months. They would always have problems that no one had every seen or heard of. This was ona regular basis that would slowly get worse and worse as the days went on. And slow? I've never had a phone so slow. And let's not even talk about the samsung code. Lol

It's not HTC, it's AT&T that will not allow an unlockable bootloader on their version of the One X. It remains to be seen whether or not HTC will unlock bootloaders on other One X versions.

As for Windows, I don't use it at home and I certainly don't want that god-awful ugly friggin' Playskool kiddie Metro UI staring back at me from my phone.
