Hi to all,

I've used o2 atom life from almost an year or more and i was not really satisfied with its battery backup.I have to charge it twice a day.
And iam a moderate to heavy user.So now you can guess whats my main concern is,
Battery is my main concern and a little about specs.
1gh,512ram,etc
Iam looking for an android which should atleast comes 24-36hrs per recharge.
my usage will be like this
2-3hrs talk on 2g.
10-20 texts a day.
2mail accounts checking for new msgs every 2hrs
some times i browse 2hrs and some days i wont.
i dont take a lot of photos/videos.

So after reading a lot of forum posts/reviews/user experiences,

i've found three phones
1.galaxy s
2.lg optimus 2x
3.samsung nexus s

these three are in my budget.
Strictly my main concern is battery only.So if you know any phones which are good at battery please suggest me.

2x would be a bit more battery consumer than the two, but would be a better performer. However, I would personally prefer a Galaxy S. If you turn off packet data and only use it when you need to, you can make it last a couple of days.

hi chanchan

That was really help full thanks for your valuable info,ru personally using a galaxy s ?

And the prices of these phones as below
galaxy s - 434$
nexus s - 520$
optimus 2x - 560$
According to my country, none of them are locked to any network.

Actually today evening i've prepared to buy a nexus s but later on i saw a lot of people in google forums saying its not even giving backup upto 24hrs with moderate and high usage.

So i withdrawed buying it and again started thinking.

And hey i forgot what abt these extended batteries ?

I use a Galaxy SL (a 4gb, SLCD version of the Galaxy S, cheaper, same specs though and slightly weaker GPU). Moderate and high usage is dependent upon what you define. For example, I use my phone at high usage, which means facebook, twitter, foursquare, 3 email accounts, sugarsync, astrid, calendar, contacts, etc all on autosync and autoupdate. Which also means I am connected to the mobile internet 24/7 (I have unlimited data plan). Put usage on top of that (a few calls, sms and facebook/ym chats) and I get a phone that lasts about 13-15hrs. Shorter if I decide to play games. However when it was new and I only used it without the syncs and updates and mobile internet yet, it was lasting me almost 2 days, over 30hrs. Basically, its the autosync and autoupdates that kill batteries for the most part. If you'd stick to calls and sms, and put the antenna on GSM alone, you'll last the day. Just turn on packet data and 3G when you'll use mobile internet and turn them off again afterward.

UPDATE:

Bought a samsung galaxy s amoled version. Still its in the initial charging and i was shocked with the screen when opend the box.
coz my previous phone is a o2 atom life with a much smaller screen size, and i didnt expect 4 inches would be this big.

Thanks all for helping me
have a nice day

make sure you turn auto brightness off and reduce the brightness to a lower setting. A lot of the battery drain comes from the screen.
