Root [WIP] Unlock Carrier Sim LG Motion 4G

WARNING: This is highly untested, and only for people who know what they are doing, and know how to make backups! This phone is currently only known to support (evdo)CDMA/LTE networks, and not GSM.

1. Install ADW Launcher and run it
2. Long press on the screen
3. Add > Custom Shortcut > Pick your Activity > Activities
4. LG Hidden Menu > NETWORK WORK
5. Click ok
6. Click on the launcher and uncheck the button.
7. Phone will immediately reboot.

I'm interested in raising funds on paypal so I can try getting the phone to work on small carriers (like possibly tracfone/straighttalk). If a mod will grant yes, then I will put a button on here.

Ok - that was my first impression, I just didn't want to jump the gun.

CDMA phones are not locked, but there are prior laws that come into play regarding changing ESN numbers - and the whole GSM unlocking situation is really a mess.

I think we're going to ask that we not sanction this here.

We've discussions in the Lounge and Android Lounge (as memory serves) for anyone wanting to know more about the laws on this and how it may affect you, so based on that, I'm going to throw a lock to save a bunch of non-Motion specific questions here.

But, if anyone has a problem with that, drop me a line, my door's always open.
