Help wipe and partition sdcard

freedomsofa

Lurker
Hi,
Here is the problem.
I am trying to put a 2nd partition on my sdcard. I used and using a parted with out PC. I messed up the first time. I tried to Followed directions but missed a step somewhere.

These are the apps I have used.
This all started when my internal got full. Already had 16 gig in there and something said it could not find the 2nd partition.

com.keramidas.TitaniumBackupPro (com.keramidas.TitaniumBackupPro)
SuperSU Pro 2.05 (eu.chainfire.supersu.pro)
KingRoot 4.6.5 (com.kingroot.kinguser)
AndroZip File Manager 4.7.0.1 (com.agilesoftresource)
AndroZip Pro 4.7.2 (com.asrazpaid)
AParted LaUnion (com.sylkat.AParted)
BusyBox Free 39 (stericson.busybox)
BusyBox Pro 34 (stericson.busybox.donate)
Link2SD 4.0.12 (com.buak.Link2SD)
Link2SD Plus (New) 1.1 (com.buak.link2sdplus)
SD Maid Pro - Unlocker 3.1.0.4 (eu.thedarken.sdm.unlocker)
SuperUser 2.0.6 (com.kingouser.com)
TWRP Manager 8.7 (com.jmz.soft.twrpmanager)

So should I try and get an app to wipe and format or go buy a new sdcard.
I don't have access to a PC.

Thank you

In my experience using A-parted, I always had to unmount the sdcard manually through Settings>storage, then format the card with the new partitions. Unless it changed, the section you'll want to do it from is one screen to the right within the app. Select the first block, then the type of format (ext, fat, ntfs), and the partition size and format it. (If there are partitions on it still, select them all and format them all as fat32 first.) Then unselect the first partition box. Select the second one, and do the same thing. You should have an option to format the sdcard through Settings>Storage if all else fails. Something important to be aware of, the first partition on the sdcard typically needs to be the same type as the phone would normally come with, otherwise it'll think you have no sdcard mounted, and thus, will not see the second partition. For android this is usually exfat/fat32.

Now I just need to have apps find and download to the right partition.
I have
Sdmaid and pro
Link2sdcard and pro
Any clues?

Just checked settings>storage
Still showing 5.11 only on sd
No change to internal

Sdmaid wants to know where and only gives one option

It sounds like SD Maid gets it's information about storage by looking at your phones mount points. Most androids will not natively see the second partition, which is why it won't show up in Settings>Storage. Same thing happens to me too. Link2sd should be able to see it though. If not I suggest trying mounts2sd (sp?) or folder mount. Another thought is, can you manually point SD Maid to the second partition?
