I am new to android and I just flashed my phone to 2.3.5 XXKI3 Frankenstein "WIPE" version (Link: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!) but all my data and apps are intact. How is this possible? Doesn't wipe firmware mean it will factory reset my phone before flashing or am I missing something. Here's what I did:
- Put my phone in download mode
- Open ODIN and chose the file above for PDA and the India KF3 CSC for the CSC
- Connected my phone and flashed
It took like 3 mins and everything seems perfect now. Smooth update to 2.3.5.no issues. I wanted to do a clean fresh install, which is why I chose the wipe version, but why do I still have all my data?
