Been waiting for N2A to come up with something for the 3rd Gen Kindle. If I have to use the Fire OS much longer I'm going to throw this damn thing in a drawer and forget about it. Any new, options or hope?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!
I am not familiar with the Kindle Fire HD... if you sign up for a free account and head to Amazon Kindle Fire HD - Android Forums or, more specifically, the All Things Root section of that sub-forum, you would be able to hook up with other members who have the same device as you... other users are always the best to offer help and advice. You could look in to rooting the tablet and putting a custom ROM on it, which could certainly change the look/feel of it and breath new life in to it
