Root Wipe rooted LG optimus V with no ROM

First of all sorry if this has been covered but I ran a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I have a newer (1 month old) Optimus V that I am interested in selling. It is rooted but no ROM is currently installed. I've read that you shouldn't use the factory reset to wipe the device. I would like to remove my GMAIL account and all my contacts without going through each contact and deleting them individually. Any way to wipe a rooted device with no ROM without bricking it? I posted this in the general section by mistake. Thanks.

It should be fine so long as the stock recovery is installed, before I sold my optimus v I installed the stock recovery and stock rom *still rooted* and did a factory data reset no problem, if you have a custom recovery than you can do a factory reset through the recovery.

But yeah, even if rooted, so long as the recovery on the phone is stock you'll be fine.

Before you sell the phone, you need to unroot it. Never sell a rooted phone, unless the buyer knows that it's rooted and understands what being rooted means.

Just a friendly tip. ;)

How can I tell if the stock recovery is on my phone? My boyfriend rooted my phone, and he doesn't know if it's on there, but I didn't really do anything, so there's no reason it shouldn't be on there. If i just reset my phone, would it be okay?
Also should i uninstall all my rooted only apps before i reset, or will those be fine if i keep them on my SD card?
