Root Wiping Battery Stats

Does this actually affect anything? If not , would deleted the newly generated file ( i used battery calibration ) be better , or should I leave it how it is

I wipe battery stats if I think my phone is falsely reporting battery level or has issues of dropping percentage and then somehow gaining a few percentage points back. That happens ocassionally and is just an issue with the calibration so when you wipe, it's good to have a full charge and then let it get pretty low before plugging it back in for a couple of cycles.

I used to calibrate my battery on a regular basis (as I used to flash ROM's a lot more) but, since I saw this from one of the people who works for Google/Android, I haven't bothered and haven't really noticed a problems!

I've just spent an hour reading the whole of that thread!!

Even hooked the phone up to ADB and ran the sysdump command for battery stats.

Interesting stuff. Guess I won't be wiping the battery stats for a while!!
