Wireless charger pausing

Whenever I charge my s8 plus wirelessly, the charging pauses after a while with the charger's light blinking, and I have to lift my device and set it back down again on the charging pad for the charging to resume. I have the latest convertible samsung wireless charger

I bought one from my carrier the same day I got the S8+. It has worked flawlessly since. I do lay the phone down in landscape making certain it's centered on the charger plate. I later looked at buying another charger for my cabin from Amazon. Though the charger looked the reviews were not stellar. Most the negatives cited your problem. I ended up returning to my local cell shop to buy the same thing.

I got it a few weeks ago (around the same time I got my phone), and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. I did notice that once the battery reaches 100%, the display does flip to "Charging Paused", but every night I put my phone on the pad and every morning it is at 100%, so everything seems to be working just fine.
