Wasn't planning on getting one, but as all my previous USB 2.0 chargers from Samsung devices don't work with the Nexus 5 I need to get a new charger or two.

same size, and they do charge the N5, just painfully slowly (about 1% every 20/30 minutes). Different wattage or amps or something.

Picked one up on skank-bay for $14.88 USD. Charges fast, shuts down when fully charged. Chargers with phone case on. Very happy with wireless charging.

Before anyone gets their knickers in a wad over the charger power cable, they have a model for a little bit more that uses microUSB as a source. I have been 100% happy with this one, and the reviews posted must have included some older versions. I am getting a couple more to put around the house (office, bedroom etc) and at my work office. I figure if they last half as long as the big names I'm still ahead. Charges almost as fast as the wall wart through a Spigen Slim Armor and the Spigen Slim Ultra (we're a two Nexus 5 family!). Happy hunting!

That's a SPIGEN SLIM ARMOR case - my wife uses that one, we also have the "gold" one.
Nice, but too bulky for me, I kept accidentally pressing the power or volume controls when it was in my belt case. SPIGEN Ultra Slim case works better for me.

I just ordered the nexus orb from last year on Amazon. Heard it works much better on the nexus 5 than the 4. We will see tomorrow.

I purchased Nokia DT900...Charges with NO problem with case and dosent get hot.
