Does anybody know of a wireless charger that will work with the GS3? The usb charge port broke on mine. Thought I'd try to find a wireless charger before I throw down $350 for a new phone.
 
call vm and b.s with them, and you can get a new phone for free say it won't turn on follow all their steps, and then ask for a new one. works %99 for me
 
Fragile charging port is unfortunately a known issue for the SGS3. Supposedly the Qi wireless charger is compatible even though our version is not listed, when you Google it (hint, hint) usually it shows the international variants as the compatible versions but some digging reveals that supposedly all variants can use this device. Good luck!

What kind of replacement do we get, a new phone with charger and everything with the retail box or the White box with only the phone? I'm also having the usb port issue and the charger is messed up too. So if it's a new box it's a win.

From my experience they will send you the phone without the battery, and nothing else. If your charger doesn't work you could mention it over the phone and see if there's a chance you might get lucky, otherwise just pay ~$5 and you can easily get a new charger online with free shipping.

I purchased one from Amazon that was for my Truimph and it works great.. I always have a spare battery charged it was only like $4.99

usually you'll get the phone ask for a battery and if your really nice to the person and cooperative they'll give you next day shipping.
 
This is what I ended up getting. Instead of doing wireless charging, I found this on Amazon. Buy the way, get it on Amazon. It's way cheaper. It comes with a battery for the GS3. Wireless charging looked too expensive. I'm just going to rotate batteries so I can use the GS3 again.

I just had the same exact issue two weeks ago....called virgin ...told them the phone no longer charges...they check to make sure u activated the phone less than a year ago(1 year manufacturers warranty) ..obviously the sgs3 jhasnt been available with virgin for more than a Couple of months)...they say "you are eligible for a replacment phone... And that's it...u have a new phone on its way


I called them sunday...I had a replacement phone/battery/charger by wed that weekm

I did the same thing when my evo v screen digitizer went... Also in 2009 they replaced a blackberry for me... As long as u have had the phone less than a year your good.

It will come in a non retail white box..
 
I purchased this kit on Amazon and it's been working just fine so far. Had a minor issue with it overheating the phone/battery but that's because I was just throwing my phone on the pad and leaving it at whatever angle- you can't do that. Sides of phone should be parallel with sides of pad (so lay it on the pad exactly straight).
