Wireless Charging Issue

I am using a wireless charger with my Maxx and I have noticed that once on the charger the bottom 3 buttons stay lit even after the screen turns off. I only noticed this recently, so I'm not sure if this has been occurring from the start. I now turn the screen off manually while on the charger to get the buttons to turn off.
Is this normal behavior? Will those buttons turn off eventually on their own and I am just being paranoid?

The word's not paranoid, it's "fussy" (or a less family-oriented word). The buttons are lit by LEDs, which will outlast Styrofoam in a landfill, so unless it bothers you that they're on, what difference does it make? Each one uses about 1/200th watt of electricity, so leaving the light on in a room for 5 extra seconds is probably more wasted electricity than all those buttons combined will use by the time you junk the phone.

And no, it's not normal that the buttons stay on during charging.
