Help Wireless charging not consistent

I lay the phone on my lg qi charging pad and the phone will charge then stop then charge. Is there a particular place you need to place the phone or is the qi not powerful enough?

Ensure that the output power of your charging pad power adapter is at least 2 Amps. The phone should be centered on the charging mat.
