Help Wireless Internet keeps turning off

My phone seems to have an infatuation with turning off my 3G connection. I have to keep going into settings, turning the mobile network off, then turn it back on. Sometimes it requires a reboot. Its a PITA. Anyone have any reason why this would happen??

Do you have any 3rd Party software installed which might be controlling your APN settings (Juice Defender, Green Power etc)?

If you dial *#*#4636#*#*, select Phone Information, then scroll down to Select Preferred Network Type, what is it set too?

I just looked at mine, it says WCDMA preffered, is this good?

I do have problems where 3g seems to do nothing, and i only get on the net when the H appears.
