Root Wireless Tether 3.0 *pre-experimental*

I'm trying to get wireless tether to work on my Xoom with my Epic 4G.

According to a post over there they were able to get it working fine with Wireless Tether 3.0 pre experimental.

Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting

Downloaded it, installed the .apk. Configured it. Voila!

Wait, why do you need wifi tether? When you sign up for a contract with your Xoom, you get hot spotting from the device 100% free.

this is for his phone to tether to the wifi only xoom since it doesn't see ad-hoc unless rooted.
