Root Wireless tether issue

I am rooted with the Galaxy Rush. However the Wireless tether app from the market, which requires root, is not working for me. My laptop doesn't see my phone. However, it sees my girlfriends Transform Ultra with the same wireless tether app.

Did you setup the profile?

Profile set to generic ics/jb (wlan0) or Samsung galaxy nexus(gsml)

I Know that , pda net works perfect with the Rush phone. ( windows)
