Wireless Tether/Rome Control

Lurker
I live in a rural area and have lousy cell reception (Sprint) and no realistic options for high speed internet. A couple of weeks ago I found the app "Roam Control" which allows me to force my phone to grab the closest tower. In my case that would be Verizon. I found that using this app I was able to use Wireless Tether for Root Users and had fantastic internet. But that recently came to an end. I now only get about .10 megs a sec down and up. Is it possible that Verizon is on to me using their tower and they are throttling me? Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Looks like they caught you. If you use your free wireless tether as your MAIN internet source, you're going to get caught due to such high GB usage.

Now you'll be throttled pretty bad.

You should go into your account and check what your data usage has been for the last few months.

If your speeds on regular data (web browsing, speedtest, etc.) are the same, you may have lucked out and your Wireless Tether might just be acting up.

The thing is I'm not a Verizon customer. I am a Sprint customer roaming on their tower. Is it possible for them to throttle the speed of someone roaming?
