Root Wireless tether (which is the most stable and working?)

"Which version"? Obviously the latest one if you're talking specifically about android-wifi-tether. If you mean which tethering program is the best, I've had more luck with Barnacle than I have with android-wifi-tether.

I would second this. I was using the generic wifi tether but have gone back to using barnacle more often as it seems to be more stable. Both work well for me but barnacle seems to be a bit better.

Of course if you are rooted but running the stock rom and kernel you have to use barnacle.

Well I'm currently on Liquid Gingerbread and a custom kernel, but regardless, Barnacle is much more stable for me. android-wifi-tether drops out a lot for me.

+1 for this. Dunno how many times I have killed my batteries (both phone and laptop) by staying tethered so long with no issues. Barnacle is the clear winner.
