Root wireless tethering

just rooted my droid 2 global using z4root and everybody keeps talking about wireless tethering. what is it and what can i use it for?

It is where you use the data connection that you get to yourphone and broadcast it out so you can use it on your laptop. So you can have internet where ever you have service

It all depends on the functionality you require. I've used PDANET and I can say its never let me down. However, some people don't want to pay to use it. Your best bet is to read the comments on the App and see if any fellow D2G users have anything in particular to say.

ps: don't forget that tethering will consume data a lot faster so don't get yourself capped!

So i don't know if anyone else saw but P3droid posted on twitter to stop using unauthorized tether. I know he was referring to the thunderbolt but i am not entirely sure if that was directed at us as well. Any thoughts?
