Within becomes Epic Touch 4G

Update: Idk if it's just my laptop, but when I click on the link I see the article but not the pictures of the 3 variants....

The source article is stable: Family Portrait: Sprint, AT&T, & T-Mobile Galaxy S II (Image)

I don't know about the photos of the AT&T and T-Mobile versions, though. They look Photoshopped. The "Samsung" logo is practically printed over top of the capacitive buttons at the bottom.

Additionally, why would Samsung have a larger display for T-Mobile and not the others? That would really defeat the purpose of having a multi-carrier release. I can just hear the NY debut now:

"Here is the new Galaxy S2. Except the T-Mobile one has a bigger and better screen. And they aren't all the same size. And the processors are different. And ...."

Well... Sorry guys. My contact did not receive any info regarding the gsII today. This is unfortunate as I was really hoping for some good news. I am still hoping for the 9th.

On a side note.... She did tell me that the reports of Sprint getting the iPhone are false.

I don't know... Guess we have to wait and see to know for sure.

Wow. That is a pretty strong statement to question a Wall Street Journal article. Somehow I would suppose that the WSJ has a better source than your friend.

On the other hand, I suppose she could be the V.P. of Marketing, and the WSJ has poor sources. (And I say "sources" because journalistic ethics require more than one source on these rumors.)

I'm pretty sure it is real. It's been rumored the T-mo versions screen would be bigger for a while so that is nothing new. Idk if your late on hearing that or what. Theirs was leaked in photos weeks ago and confirmed by whoever leaked them that it was a 4.5 inch screen. I mean the Infuse has a 4.5 inch screen so why wouldn't T-Mo? Plus the Infuse is a SA+, so it's not like they can't make it like that. We will see Tuesday since the announcement was pushed back. I could be wrong but I bet the images in the ad will be pretty much how they look. Also it was said the US versions would be slightly different and clocked different etc for competition purposes due to the iPhone 5. Let's wait and see.

Not a friend, just someone high up in sprint that I had reason to talk to.

She told me point blank that the Wsj article was erroneous.

Take it for what you will.
