Root Wm 8650 epad/minilap top root

I have been trying to root my wondermedia 8650 epad it is a mini laptop

I have tried Zroot and some other one click root tools to no avail.

If anyone out there that knows how to root these can you please help a fellow out.

I have yet to try flashing with a sd-card because I read a few ppl bricking there tablets when doing so with the wrong image.


The epads specs are:
Android ver. 2.2
Kernel ver. 2.6.32.9-default
build number. generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver1.5.3-20110819.032300

wondermedia 8650 cpu 800mhz
256ddr
7inch 800x480

But does the rom also work on a mini-laptop (as gabriolastyle asked) because I'm also very interested in the mod but I don't want to ruin my mini-laptop

Does anyone have a recent root for this? I tried the one listed above, but the link does not work.
