Root Won't boot in recovery

Folks,

I really need to restore my Droid 2 to stock. I can't boot into recovery as it hangs on he "M". If I click on the bootstrap app and click bootstrap recovery, i get an error:
error running exec(). command: [si, -c....surunner.sh] working directory: null environment: null

I believe this might be because I don't have root but ran Z4root and it starts to root and crashes. Any ideas on how I can get stock back?

thanks

SBF. There's a thread with instructions and links to the files. Good Luck.
