Help Won't boot out of the box

Hey everyone, I believe I need some help. I just purchased an HTC EVO V 4G at Radio Shack this afternoon. I got home, plugged it in and attempted to charge it for a couple of hours before I turned it on. Well, it's safe to say this phone as not once booted up.

I've tried different chargers. When I use the one that came in the box, the phone blinks red a few timed then turns green. Nothing. I tried to use another usb charger I had and the phone just continuously blinks red. Still nothing.

I've tried removing the battery, I've removed the SD card, I have tried holding down the ON button and the VOL Down button and nothing starts it up. I've had the phone for a little over 5 hours and I haven't seen it turn on yet.

Any suggestions?

Since you just got it, it would be better to swap it. My first EVO has been working with no issues, you might have just got a bad phone.

I press the power button and nothing happens. I do hear it click, and I've even tried removing the battery cover and pressing the tiny little ON button just to make sure it's being pressed properly. Nothing happens. Ive even tried holding it down for a while.
