Help won't connect to Ford sync

both my wifes phone and mine refuse to connect to sync...before I can even get the sync password in it says "problem connecting to this device" I have tried everything...pulling the battery, phone reboot..updated the cars firmware and phone is up to date...anybody got any ideas how to make this work...

I figured it out the photon won't let u use a 6 digit password for pairing so u have to have sync give u a special PW that is only 4 digits...

If ur having problems syncing go to the Ford Sync site and watch the Android video....
