Help Won't go into standby

Hello all, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7". Actually, my daughter & I both have one. They are both about a month old. I haven't done anything to them really. Mine worked fine for the first week. Then I noticed that when I quickly pressed the power button, my tab wouldn't go into standby mode anymore. Instead, it simply restarts EVERY TIME. Then the Samsung logo and screen saver feature kinda like tutorial replay over and over unti you touch the screen.

My daughters works just fine and she uses that thing at every waking moment. I don't even use mine that much, perhaps once a day. It's frustrating. I compared the settings in both of ours and everything is the same from what I can tell. I haven't downloaded anything that I can think of to make it not go into standby.

Can anyone please shed some light on this for me?

I'm the only one having this problem? If so, does anyone have any idea on how to fix it please.

My suggestion is to do a factory reset. Sounds like you just have a small glitch in the matrix. You'll wipe your devices by doing this but it's a small price to pay for getting your tab back to proper working order.
