Won't recognize yahoo mail?

New hp laptop connected to Android phone to link/sync...now yahoo mail app doesn't work on phone and displays Android connection error
Uninstalled app, reinstalled...won't connect to yahoo at all

how are you connecting to the internet? it will not connect on your phone only, correct? maybe try wiping cache and data and then uninstall the yahoo app.
