Won't turn on, please help!

Hey guys,
My phone just totally stopped working really early this morning. I dropped it off the couch and the battery cover popped off, and now it won't turn back on. I fully charged it and still nothing. I have taken the battery out to see if that was it as well. Any other ideas of why and what I can do? I was running bugless beauty, but it was being buggy before.

I don't know what you're expecting from us ... some magical mystical voodoo incantation that'll power up your phone remotely? If you're checked to make sure that the battery is seated properly and it still won't boot, you need to be headed to see the friendly Verizon people.

Sounds to me like Karma might be working perfectly.

And nice edit ... I read the first edition and was quit impressed with your huge vernacular.

Eh, I'm about to head to class and flame wars don't need to be started in a droid site, turns out its the screen, my computer recognizes that there is something connected, so maybe I will be able to get it back to stock through the shell, not sure though.

Yes please scam verizon. You rooted your phone and now you voided your warranty, so you knew if something went wrong you wouldn't be able to get a replacement, but instead your gonna take it back to stock and trick them.

This really pisses me off, people should understand that once you root your warranty is gone. Just cuz you can bring it back to stock doesn't mean you still deserve a warranty.

Wow, I am surprised by the aggression towards someone that simply asked a question. I thought this place was meant to helpful.

Its not even a software issue, the screen is dead, or dropping it put it into perpetual sleep. I never said I was bringing it back to verizon anyways, I am going to get my friend to look at it, he knows more about this stuff than I do.

Beyond a battery pull for awhile, I have no other idea. My Droid (stock) wouldn't turn back one time and I had to do a battery pull, but that got it back. I know you said you already tried that, so sorry, I am out. Sounds like a bigger issue that is probably going to have to send you back to Verizon.

Man I can't believe the attacks on this forum. It is really getting out of hand. Messenger 13 once again I will say. I really respect your thoughts and god knows your expertise. You and I had a run in about using the word "brick" if you remember. But please try to remember that not everyone is as talented as you are.

If they don't replace it for you, there are a lot of places that do repairs... or you could find one on craigslist... good luck

By and large, 95% of my post are "helpful" Pure information. 2.5% are for humor's sake, and the other 2.5% are perhaps delivered with are harsh hand, albeit still helpful.

For intense and purposes, the title of this thread very well could've been, "I bricked my phone". And he would've still be as inaccurate as you were. And isn't it a tad bit ironic that the OP solved this mystery all by himself? In other words, this thread is moot, at best.

You'll notice my contributions to this forum are dwindling. The "All Things Root" sub-forum has helped weed out some of the ridiculous threads, but I still can't believe the amount of clutter that is allowed.

I'll admit it right now, I'd put mine back to stock in a hot ****in minute. so would 99.9% of the people here, because shelling out $600 for the phone just isn't worth it.
there is do doubt "you play, you pay" but if I can get it back to the condition for them to replace it I will.
We shouldn't have to root in order to gain total control of our phones, they are ours and as long as I'm not laying solder on the boards then I should be able to add and remove whatever I want and when I do **** it up, they should replace it for me with a great big thanks for choosing verzion smile

Please spare me this drama. Your energy spent defending what's just and right should be focused somewhere more productive. All the dude wants to do is get his phone back up and running.

Why would people understand that once they root that their warranty is gone? Clearly it's not... you can restore to factory and you're good to go... actualities, not technicalities.

Take it back to Verizon and get a replacement - they don't owe you jack, and you don't owe them any explanation or honesty. Call me new fashioned.

fify.

We ran it through eclipse to see where the boot was going wrong, it can't access the screen. It keeps looping through the booting process until it gets to the screen and the says it can't access and loops again. Its weird. Thanks for ya'll help though.
