Wordfeud - multiplayer Scrabble for Android

Too easy to "cheat" that way. I can just keep testing my tiles until I find the combo that nets the highest score.

Send an email to email@wordfeud.com with her account details, and I'll do a manual password reset.

Thanks for the password reset on my wife's account. We'll give it a shot when we get home. (EDIT: She followed the instructions while she was at work and it worked like a charm! Thanks again!)

Also, I donated. Will the Free version still work without ads?

i just started playing the game as recommended by a friend and love it. only problem i have is that i had 7 games going and i am getting msg's popping up saying server problem or problem connecting to the server. so, i force closed the app and when i went to restart it im getting the same msg and all my games that were going disappeared :( will they return once the server issue resolves itself?
 
just did the manual update and games came back and working on 3g but as soon as i went to wifi (dont get service where i work) it is giving me another error msg saying org.json.JSONException
 
I did the update, but now my notifications are worse. I either don't get them at all or are 10 minutes late.

I don't seem to be getting notifications after the update either, have to open up the game and check to see if it's my turn.

ETA: Notifications are working now!
 
Just wanna pipe in and say I have played all the scrabble style games on Android and not even one of them is as well put together as WordFeud. such a solid app
 
For anyone having problems with notifications, try the following:

Go into the settings screen and deactivate notifications, go back to the game list and wait a few seconds, then re-enable notifications from the settings screen. This procedure should re-register your phone with Google's C2DM service, which Wordfeud uses for notifications.

Another thing worth checking is if your phone is set up to allow background data. Go into your phone's settings (not Wordfeud's), open "Accounts & sync", and check that "Background data" is enabled.

edit: (Been years since I played scrabble) if I hit a DW and a TW is that five times the word score or six? I hit SUFFER (13 pts) onto HAW (haws 10 pts) the S was on a TW with the E on a DW so I ended up with 108 pts, so DW and TW were multiplied and not added.

I noticed bad scoring too - I got back to back bingos on my first 2 turns and only received 57 points each time!
 
Add me to the no notifications group. Trying the suggestions above re disabling notifications then setting it ahain. Hope it works. Otherwise LOVE this game!

Hello AndroidForums!

I just released my first game on the Android Market having spent nearly five months on development. The game is ad supported and can be downloaded for free.

Features include:
- Up to 20 simultaneous games.
- Two board styles, "normal" and random (bonus squares scattered randomly on the board)
- English and Norwegian dictionaries
- Built in chat.
- Push notifications.
- Customizable avatar / profile picture

I'd love to hear what you think about it.


Note: the permissions are for network access, push notifications, ability to invite friends from your contact list, and ads.

Congratulations, but it would be good if you could tell us how to get the game? Every time I try to download it I receive an "unknown website" error.

Works fine for me. Are you scanning the barcode with an android phone using "barcode scanner" or a similar program? You could also just search for wordfeud in the market.
 
my wife and I love this game, the only problem is it allows some really silly words which I'm sure aren't English
 
Hi all. First time post, and new to this forum. I believe there may have been an earlier post of names of people that are willing to play until the game is finished. Can someone point me to that list?
So far, most of the random opponents I play resign by letting time expire. It seems the only way to keep some people in the game is to allow them to maintain a lead score. I'm not really concerned about winning, I'd just like to complete a game!:cool:

I did play someone named keith who was pretty good. My game ID is TruckeeVid.

Love this game! Played a few random opponents and all of them played until the game was done. Thank you for creating an awesome & addicting game!
