Work Email and Personal Email

[Android Question]

I was wondering if any Android genius could help me out.

I have a new Galaxy Note 2 and have set up my personal email (Hotmail) and a works email using the Microsoft Exhange thingy.

The problem is that I don't want any email notifications from my works email (i've only put it on my device so I can check emails whilst on annual leave). But I do want to receive notifications on my personal email.

Any idea how to stop the works email notifications coming through? (I've checked all the settings and set it to sync every 2 weeks (which is the maximum) plus unchecked the sync email box but it continues to say a number on my email icon to represent new emails.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'd look for an email app that allowed me to 1) choose which accounts to do email for and 2) choose whether to nitify me of new emails. Then set that one for the work account, and the other one for only the personal account.
