Working Flash for Galaxy Ace

i have SEA version with GB and never installed this
and the video works on all browsers
Why and how it works i have no idea but it does
lucky me more free memory lol

Well the above mentioned video worked on my ace even in the stock browser without installing flash.. I m from Mumbai, India..
Even after the installation nothing seemed to have changed on any website whether i use dolphin browser or stock android browser! :)

do i remember seeing a thread (i think it was the original 2.3.4 for galaxy ace) saying 2.3.4 has flash support?? is this true as surely the whole arm v6 thing still a problem no matter what the rom??

yeah from what i know in short when adobe made the 10.1 flash app they made it closed to arm6, meaning you could not install or use it as it wouldnt register on the phone as a usable plug-in, the guy who edited this one managed to open to access and changed a few code-lines so it would run (temperamentally) . i still cant make head or tales of it,:rolleyes::rolleyes:

like i say if it helps yay. if it doesnt,..you havent lost anything lol:D

well maybe but i would have thought that was just to say most devices that came with 2.3 preinstalled should work with flash (support) but since we are as you say arm6 and our devices came out with 2.2 upgraded to 2.3 its not as applicable plus the arm6 thing' thats why im happy this app opened some barriers for me.:)

exactly. this is what i figured too. those with preinstalled 2.3 have flash support. wonder if we can get that version number or whatever and get it for ourselves officially.. not that im unhappy with the chineseman's version :)
wonder what version they have...

only had the phone a couple of months and keep getting the task manager screen popping up completely randomly some times it comes up then i cancell it then it will pop back sometimes straightaway and now its starting to do it all by itself, can someone please help me put a stop to it (im begining to think my phone is possossed)

you mean the task manager comes up as if you pressed the monitor widget?

in that case if you only just started using the phone save yourself later hassle and do a factory reset/restore if it doesn't solve your prob' take the phone back and exchange under faulty goods for a new handset.:(
 
I am confused. After reading this thread I understand that the Flash Player does not realy work. I have tried installing it about a Month ago. Have you altered it in any way since then ? And if not, why is this thread still up if it doesn't work. I am realy curious. To those who made it work, how did you do it ? I always test if Flash works the way I want by going to Everybody! Everybody! so if that won't work, Flash doesn't. Please help with information. Thx

from what i understand, if you got you ace and it came with 2.2 you have no support at all for flash...this version will work for you

if you got the ace with 2.3 it already has flash "support" but not fully,

basically 2.3 = you have this version just made by adobe themselves. but its not 100% supported and you can only use/view certain flash data.

2.2 after using this version above you have the half supported version like 2.3 released phones

but people dont be confused until that magic arm6 flash player from adobe comes out we WONT have fully working flash. for people like me who had the ace from 2.2 its better then nothing eh? lol:D
 
I'm in the UK and i've been trying to watch videos on bbc iplayer without any success.
I've tried umpteen flash player pluggins and installs and none of them work.
i've got Android 2.3.5 and every time someone puts up a new flash player saying it works well it does'nt it says it's installed but it does'nt show any icon.Then when i go to iplayer and try to play a vid it directs me to install flash player from Andriod market and then says" this device is not compatable with Adobe flashplayer"
So is there anyone with an Ace who can watch a vid on bbc iplayer and if so could you please tell me how you do it.:confused:

unless you change the flash setting to auto from on demand it will display an F icon until you press it. Some sites it is slow but some its not. Hey its better than nothing. (mind you skyfire plays the videos seemlessly)

*vimeo worked fine for me.

Well what do you know,skyfire will play the vids on bbc iplayer.I shed some tears and sweated blood trying to get a bbc iplayer vid to play.
