Root [WORKING] MMS working HTC Evo V 4g

Update: 7/27/2013 - Fully working for me.

OP: First off I am using Angry Bean 07172013, second I am also using Textra however I tested it and found that it works with the stock messenger. Third I cannot guarantee this is going to work with your phone. Lastly with that being said I am in no way responsible if your phone breaks in any way when you attempt this.

With that being said here we go:

Go to Voice Dialer and say "Open APNs". Open the APN that's there and change the settings to what I have here:

APN: Sprint
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Sprint
Password: *
Server: *
MMSC: [url]http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?[/url]
MMS Proxy: (Leave blank)
MMS Port: (Leave blank)
MCC: 311
MNC: 120
Authentication type: PAP or CHAP
APN Type: Not Set
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified

Then using a root enabled browser (I use Root Browser) go to system/ and long press "build.prop" and select edit. Change this section to this:

Code: 
gsm.operator.alpha = Virgin Mobile US
gsm.operator.numeric = 311490

ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=311490
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Virgin Mobile US

That's it. That's all I did and everything was working.
 
It hasn't been for me for the last two builds or so. I've finally gotten it working for myself. Idk if it's just me, but just in case I made this.
 
My MMS is working on Angry Bean's 07/03/2013.
Only issue (sort of) I have is that MMS only works when WiFi is off.
Other ROMs I've used were able to either Turn the WiFi Off during Incoming/Outgoing MMS. Or MMS would still work with WiFi on.

Man, I must be lucky then because my MMS sends just fine with WiFi turned on.

Only issue I have is that I have to toggle airplane mode on and off a lot because all data seems to just stop working, even WiFi

Ditto. Is why I quit using JB. Data connection is shit and drops constantly among other things :(

Even on WiFi I can receive and send MMS after I did this.
 
Worked for me. Had been working before but was faster at least this time. And I did send with the wifi on. In the past I have not been able to receive MMS well so we'll see if this fixes that for me.
 
I did it using stock app as well although I usually use MYSMS so I can access everything on my computer and tablet as well. Would be interested to see if this works better on Pacman etc. as well.
