Try out Google Calendar Sync.
Google Sync services
It will sync your Outlook calendar to the Google account thats linked to your phone. Your calendar items will then appear on the calendar on your phone.
For e-mail you can configure the e-mail client on your phone to sync with basically any e-mail service. If you use gmail and use the same account on your phone then all your mail should be in the "gmail" app. If you use a different mail service follow these instructions:

If it's task syncing you're looking for check out the Astrid app. It will sync with your Google Tasks if you set it up in the preferences.

Android phones typically sync across the cloud (Internet) as opposed to older BB and WM phones which could sync locally with a directly connected PC. If you are looking to sync contacts and calendar data this is typically done through your primary email account.
If you are looking to sync pictures and movies this can be done manually using a Samsung provided software app called KIES.
