Working "Shutdown Timer" App?

Hey guys, my laptop recently broke and I decided to switch to the wonderful Nexus 10 tablet. 90% of what I used my laptop for was watching movies and live streams (twitch tv streams). I would have this shutdown application on Windows, where I'd set the time and it would shut down the laptop after the time expires, simple and straightforward.

My issue is that I've been searching for a working shutdown app on the play store for more than a week, and nothing works (tablet isn't rooted, many of the apps require a root).

Could you guys help me out with a suggestion? I find it hard to believe there's no shutdown/"lock" application on Android - I want to put on a Starcraft stream that I'd watch while falling asleep, and not have it run for the whole night.

Thank you!

A real, complete shut down, like what you do when you press & hold the power button and select Power Off, will always require root. However, that's not what you need, you need something that can stop the app you are using to watch your stream, afther that is done your display time out will do the rest. What app are you using to watch the stream?

Thanks Ssith!

One more question if I may, I got tasker and tried to configure it to turn off the app, but it doesn't seem to work.

So the flow is as follows: I have a profile that runs as first context "Application" -> Twitch, it runs a tasks that has two steps:
1. Wait timer set to X seconds (I could not find a countdown timer)
2. Kill App "twitch"

Although the profile is set to ON, in the notification thingy Tasker appears as having no active profile.

What am I doing wrong?
