Help Working with other file-types.

I've been trialing the 10.1 for a week for my company.. i really like it so far but it seems to be very dependent on dropbox.

If i want to email someone an xls file, in the Gmail or using Gmail in chrome it only lets me sellect an image using 'dropbox' or 'gallery' or sometimes 'music player'

is there a way to expand this list of apps?


Also, is there a way to use google drive to edit offline? it seems to view it ok but not edit, also you cant download..... Am I missing something.

Installling an app that has access to media will add it as an option in all apps looking for media. My GMail does not allow to attach anything but pictures and videos, but if I got into My Files and have an xls file on the SD card I can long press the file and choose Share via > GMail.

Not reallly sure about the second question.
